BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CHANGES BY YOU
If you wish to make any changes to a confirmed booking you must notify us in writing. Whilst we will endeavor to assist, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any such requests as we only rent out accommodation that actually belongs to us.

 

CANCELLATION BY YOU
42 or more days notice: 30% of total price
28 – 41 days notice: 65% of total price
1 – 27 days notice: 90% of total price
Cancellation on day of arrival: 100% of total price

Depending on the reason for cancellation you may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) from your insurance company if you have taken out travel insurance. You must however pay the cancellation charges due to us first.

 

CANCELLATION BY US
If we have to make a significant change or cancel, we will tell you or your travel agent as soon as is reasonably possible. You will receive a full refund from us.

 

PAYMENT
In order to confirm your reservation the deposit must be paid. If we do not receive payments due within the period then the booking will be cancelled.

You can use our secure server to pay online using your American Express, MasterCard or Visa card. If you prefer, you can also telephone your credit card details to +30 28430 29183 or fax them to +30 28430 29184. You can also pay by cheque, request us to call you for your credit card details, or else pay by direct bank transfer. If you have any queries at all then please do contact us.

 

CHECK-IN AND CHECKOUT
You can check-in from 4.00 p.m. (16:00) on your scheduled day of arrival. If you wish to check-in earlier then please contact our reception/office for arrangements. (This service is subject to availability.)

Please checkout by 11.00 a.m. at the latest on your scheduled date of departure. If you are leaving before 10.00 a.m. then please drop your keys in the white letter box next to the office door.

If you would like to checkout later than 11.00 a.m. then please speak to our reception/office. Late checkouts are subject to availability and are not available during peak periods. If a late checkout is available then it is charged at Euro 10 per hour for the apartments or Euro 15 per hour for the houses.

If required, luggage may be stored free in our reception/office on your departure day.

 

SPECIAL REQUESTS
Any special requests must be advised to us at the time of booking and in writing. Whilst we will endeavour to meet or pass onto our suppliers any reasonable special requests wherever possible, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled. Any failure to meet special requests will not be a breach of contract on our part.

 

TAXIS
We will, on request, book taxis on your behalf. Please note that this service is offered for your convenience and that the fare must be paid direct to the taxi driver. Makrigialos Touristiki AE cannot accept any responsibility for the failure of the taxi service to provide any part of the requested service as the contract is between you and the taxi service.

 

CAR HIRE
We will, on request, organise car hire on your behalf. Please note that this service is for your convenience and that the cost of the car hire must be paid direct to the car hire company. Makrigialos Touristiki AE cannot accept any responsibility for the failure of the car hire company to provide any part of the requested service as the contract is between you and the car hire company.

 

MEDICAL OR DISABILITY PROBLEMS
We must be advised of any significant medical or disability problems before we can confirm your booking.

 

ACCESSIBILITY
The unique charm of our properties derives in part from the fact that they were once fishermen’s cottages, which have been carefully restored and tastefully converted into luxury holiday accommodation. However, this does mean that the properties have steps, and are on various levels which might cause problems for some people. If you have any concerns about accessibility then please do contact us as we would be delighted to advise.

 

PASSPORTS
Make sure you have a valid passport before travelling to Greece.

 

PRIVACY POLICY
We are required by Greek law to enter into our records the true name and identification of all persons resident in our properties. However, we do also understand that some of our clients may have a desire for extra privacy. Therefore, upon request, the true identity of a client can be kept confidential to Gunnar Stromsholm, (the owner of the properties) and to our resident manager.

 

BEHAVIOUR
The accommodation (and/or its facilities) is provided for the sole use of the persons named and registered with our office in Makrigialos. Subletting, sharing or assignment is prohibited by Greek law.

We reserve the right to terminate the booking of any client who, in our opinion is causing, or is likely to cause, distress, annoyance or danger to any of our other clients or to any third party, or who damages the property, or who in any way harms the manager or our staff. We will have no responsibility towards such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.

 

ANIMALS AND PETS
Animals and pets are not permitted in any of our properties.

 

RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you and/or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to Makrigialos Touristiki AE. If you fail to do this, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made by us as a result of your actions.
